New normal in the labour market.
Hopes and fears of Polish employees in times of COVID-19
The year 2020 has made employers and employees face an unprecedented challenge in the form of COVID-19. The situation related with the coronavirus pandemic has caused many changes in the labour market and its effects will be seen for a long time. Employees were forced, practically overnight, to act under new conditions and to review some of their beliefs, such as job security, required and pos-sessed competencies or a sense of belonging to their workplace.
In recent months, employers also had an opportunity to find out how important it is to have engaged employees. It is thanks to the people that are emotionally connected with the company and the team, who identify with the organization and its values, and who think out of the box that many companies have managed to survive this difficult period, whi¬le maintaining efficiency and building a new remote company culture.
Morgan Philips Polska in cooperation with Enpulse have made an attempt to answer several questions concerning the labour market after the three most difficult months of the epidemic.
This report addresses the following issues:
-
How do Polish employees see their nearest the future in the labour market, and what plans do they have for it?
- Which competencies do they consider most important and in what direction do they want to develop?
- Will the availability of talent in the market change?
- What motivates employees to change their jobs these days?
- Is the perception of the effects of the epidemic different for each generation, gender and position?
- What do employees expect from their organisation in a new reality?
